Hers is the kind of beauty that is meant to make heads turn; her winsome personality is meant to capture your heart. She is Preeti Desai, the sexy lass whose beauty is known to bloom as a wild rose, virginal and ethereal. Born on 29 September 1981 Preeti's tryst with fame happened when she won the Miss Great Britain crown in 2006. In fact Preeti happens to be the first British Indian to have won the crown. Now she is famous all over the world as a quintessential Indian beauty. Cheer up desis! Preeti's dark brown tresses and the deep pools of her brown eyes signify not just physical beauty, but also the pulchritude that gushes from her heart.
She attended St Augustine RC primary school in Coulby Newham, then Nunthorpe Secondary School. After leaving school she did a three-year course in Hair and Beauty at Middlesbrough College. Can any of us imagine that a beauty like Preeti would have worked in a hair salon? We can hardly imagine her as anything, except as a princess of hearts. Nevertheless, it is true that after graduation she worked in hair salons for a number of years. She has a younger sister Anjlee, with whom she is very close. In her blog Preeti writes, "I am a big fan of my sister Anjlee and her band is called SOUL DEEP."
Looks like talent runs in the family, while one sister is making waves as beauty queen, the second sister is jazzing up the world of music. One great thing about Preeti is her earthy attitude. Without much ado she gushes out the details of her most favorite activities, "I try to spend as much time as I can with the people I love, I love going out socializing and partying, wining and dining, shopping, going on holidays, I love BIG bear hugs. And love my little Yorkshire terrier puppy Charlie and German Shepard Harley to bits...I miss them so much, they live with my mum and dad back in Guisborough."
Currently she is in relationship. But who is the lucky guy? Well, that is her secret. Preeti will divulge the identity of the guy in her life only when the time is right. After all, for every beautiful rose that blooms there is a bee somewhere to pollinate it.
